Hello to all Tea Tree Gully City Soccer Club Members,
As we are all aware, soccer competitions have taken a back seat to the health and safety of everyone in the state and country at this point in time.
Two weeks ago, our affiliated association Elizabeth and Districts Junior Soccer Association put out a memo to all clubs stopping training immediately and at the time it was to be until Wednesday 1st April.
Last night the league has had a meeting again and re-evaluated their position with the sanctions to be put into place and passed onto all clubs their expectations.
Unfortunately and probably as expected there will still be a delay in the return to training and the season is on hold at this point in time.
** Until we are notified that the season is ” Cancelled” we are assuming that at some stage a restructured season will be played.**
The following is part of correspondence all clubs received by our governing association EDJSA..
The EDJSA Executive committee have decided, that due to the current governmental rulings, and until they deem it safe to resume, we are withholding the beginning of the current season. When the government conclude that it is safe to resume sporting activities, we will consider the time left to us during the year, and will again discuss our options and will let everyone know.
If we can restart the season in April, May or June, we will let you know. There will certainly be options.
After reading this our take on it all is that …..
A re-structured season (if possible) will be worked out by the EDJSA and once finalized, will be released to clubs.
I know that this is not the news we all want to hear but at the same time, health, safety and stopping the spread must be of the highest priority to everyone.
As mentioned in my previous email on this topic, please be patient with us on the reply as we don’t have capacity to answer all emails immediately.
For Under 13 Football South Australia (FSA) Girls and Boys and the Under 15 FSA teams, we have corresponded all information from your association to your coaches and team managers.
If there are any further questions please email me back on
In these hard times we also implore our members to support the clubs numerous, loyal and great sponsors. All of these can be found on our website and will also be highly shared through all our channels.
On behalf of all the volunteers on the TTGCSC Committee please stay safe and practice what the government and health authorities are recommending.
Damien Kuypers
TTGCSC Chairman

E&DJSA Covid-19 decision

As per tonight’s meeting, we have voted to strongly recommend that all Clubs within Elizabeth and Districts Junior Soccer Association suspend all activities for 14 days. We therefore strongly urge all Clubs to consider the health and well being of their players, members, and all volunteers. We recommend all training and friendly pre-season matches are placed on hold until further notice.

To this end we will not be holding the Council of Clubs meeting on March 30, or the upcoming Coaching Course or Modified Rules Referees courses.
The E&DJSA Executive will meet again March 30 instead and decide then on the current situation and latest Government Guidelines at the time.

Please follow all health guidelines provided and ensure you keep your families safe at this time.
