CFS Shield
Tea Tree Gully soccer club in collaboration with One Tree Hill soccer club is proud to announce the creation of an annual shield tournament dubbed the “CFS” shield.
Both clubs recognize the brave and crucial work that the volunteer members of both Tea Tree Gully Country Fire Service station and One Tree Hill station provide to our communities by putting their lives on the line for others. In forming this annual event both clubs hope to raise money and awareness for both stations in what has proved a tough start to this fire season.
Both clubs are acutely aware that CFS work does not only happen in bad fire seasons and as such have committed to making this an annual day to raise funds and awareness. The two stations already share a link as major stations within the CFS’s Para Group, so it is fitting that our two clubs come together for an event which not only raises crucial funds to help the brave volunteer members but also some light hearted competition between the two clubs and stations.
The tournament itself will consist of both junior and senior teams from both clubs battling it out for the right to win the shield. The winning club will be determined by an aggregate points accumulation from all fixtures. The tournament will be held at each club on an alternate basis with Tea Tree Gully proudly hosting the inaugural year.
All profits taken, along with 100% of money raised on the day will be split 50-50 between both Tea Tree Gully and One Tree Hill stations.
For the day the major fundraiser for the stations will be a raffle, so we are calling on all our supporters, members and local businesses to come on board and donate prizes for the day! Cut off for prize drop off is 7/02/2020 please inbox or contact seniors@ttgsoccer.com.au if you can help with prizes.
Everyone can help out by sharing this post, mentioning to friends and family and coming for a fun family day. Activities for the whole family from twelve plus CFS trucks on show for the kids.
